Refuting Bauknight's Lies
JEFF BAUKNIGHT’S OUTRAGEOUS LIES
LIE: SHERIFF AJ LOUDERBACK SUPPORTERS BACKED A DISGRACED FORMER POLITICIAN.
In what has been described as one of the most deceptive political attacks in Texas history, Bauknight has attempted to link me with a disgraced former politician who had an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. Even though I have never met the former office holder or even spoken to him, my opponent is so desperate to slander me that he is willing to deceive voters with untrue accusations that cross the line. HD30 deserves much better than vile lies. I am a Christian, loving husband, father, grandpa, and a well-respected law enforcement official.
LIE: SHERIFF AJ LOUDERBACK DOESN'T FOLLOW THE LAW.
Last time I ran for office, neither I nor any other candidate in the race except the incumbent could reach the Biden Administration agency in charge of processing candidate paperwork, in spite of my numerous attempts at communication. They never responded to me, and I, along with all other non-incumbent candidates, was unable to file one single piece of paperwork. No enforcement action was taken against us and my account was closed. I am a man of integrity who has spent my life upholding and enforcing our laws.
LIE: SHERIFF AJ LOUDERBACK IS SUPPORTED BY "NEO-NAZIS."
What a doozy! Bauknight continues to use deceitful, deceptive, and defaming tactics in this campaign. While I am supported by the state’s strongest conservatives, Bauknight uses the language of the Left to attack and demean these patriots. This is exactly how Biden and his leftwing allies attack Trump and conservatives.
LIE: SHERIFF AJ LOUDERBACK TRIED TO DEFUND OPERATION LONE STAR TASKFORCE.
Neither I nor the Texas Sheriffs Regional Alliance tried to defund any law enforcement agency. On the contrary, TSRA members and a civilian met with OLS grant fund administrators to promote jail software for ALL sheriffs and law enforcement agencies. This lie is beyond belief. The state would never disperse hundreds of millions of dollars to TSRA, nor did they ask for it! My opponent’s attempts at dividing the law enforcement community are harmful to public safety.

Friends and Neighbors,
We are in a fight for our country. We are in a fight for Texas. But most importantly, we are in a fight for our families and future generations.
As a lifelong resident of our district, I have never seen a more deceitful, misleading, and defamatory campaign as the one my opponent Jeff Bauknight has engaged in thus far.
While I have campaigned on my record and experience as a veteran and lifelong member of law enforcement, Jeff Bauknight has filled our airwaves and mailboxes with lies and disgusting innuendo intentionally designed to destroy my reputation and denigrate my service to our community and nation.
I’m honored to have been elected to five terms as Sheriff in our district and for President Trump to chose me as a Border Security Advisor, where I leveraged my experience and expertise to help him fight illegal immigration and crime.
And yet Jeff Bauknight and his team of high-paid Austin consultants, have made the politics of personal destruction against me their ultimate goal.
We cannot let this stand.
The question we must ask ourselves now: If Jeff Bauknight is willing to go this far to win this seat, what kind of man would he be if he has the power that comes along with it?
If he’ll lie to you today about my record, my character, and my values, then what else would he lie to you about tomorrow if hhe has the full power of the Austin Swamp behind him?
At a recent forum in Goliad, Bauknight personally “apologized” to me in front of the crowd, claiming that he approved the attacks on me, but it wasn’t his intention to mislead voters about me. He then went on to continue to malign me and my supporters as Nazis. The crowd didn’t have it. And neither should we.
As candidates our public records are fair game, but Bauknight is using the same tactics the Left uses against President Trump. Bauknight cannot stand on his record so he has stooped to these lows.
My commitment to you is the same commitment I made to the people of Jackson County when I ran to be their Sheriff: I will always do what I say, I will always act in a manner that respects the position I hold, and my personal and professional conduct will make you proud.
Early voting for the Republican primary runoff begins May 20th and runs through May 24th, and Election Day is May 28th. I’m asking you to mark your calendars. To reject the use of Austin, Texas “win at all costs” values in our community. Let’s vote to uphold rural values, honesty, and integrity together.
